When Bill Douglas started advising people in a local neighborhood bar, he never imagined becoming the worldwide, larger-than-life, health and wellness speaker who touched millions of lives. Even further, he never dreamed of the hundreds of people who wanted to live and work on his estate, with the hope of benefiting from all he has to offer.
 

As the estate evolves further into a cult, he wrestles with his own demons and tries to satisfy his unhealthy obsession with having a large family, leading to a tragic climax.
 

The tragedy is when Bill’s pursuit of his biggest desire ultimately destroys the connections he desperately craves.
 

This psychological thriller uses narrative, podcast transcripts of former members of The Community, and Bill Douglas’ journal entries as it explores psychological manipulation, disillusionment, cult dynamics, isolation, and survival.
